Textual Analysis

Genre
The Genre for this media text is a Television trailer. The sub-genre would be advertisement of the TV drama and rom-com; Youngers.

Audience
The target audience for this television trailer would be British viewers as the theme of the television drama is set in Britain. This would amuse mainly teenagers: students (aged 13-16) due to the language they speak and the way in which they act, boys and girls would be amused by this drama due to the lifestyles they have of the main characters, however this would appeal to girls more than girls as the romance that occurs during the trailer. This would also appeal to music lovers as the drama is based around making and performing music in order to get signed.

Platform
Besides this being a TV advert there are also many other ways in which to see this advert such as YouTube on the computer, phone, tablet or laptop. Many edited clips are shown on TV but to watch the full trailer for more of an insight you could access it through YouTube. As the main audience is teenagers and students the main device would be Phones, tablets or laptop.

Genre
The Genre for this media text is a Music Video. The sub genre for this media text is pop and R'n'B music.

Audience
The target audience for this Pop and R'n'B music video is 12 to 50 years old. Also, this would be appealing to dancers as it is R'n'B and pop music (with a good beat) which would make it easier to choreograph to which is what dancers look for in music. Beyonce and music fans also would be appealed to watch this due to it being music by Beyoncé. Mainly girls would listen to this as more girls are fans of Beyoncé.

Platform
This music video can be watched on YouTube (accessing it from a phone, tablet, Computer or a laptop) Also this could be seen on Tv: Music channels.

Genre
This media text is a TV advert. The sub-genre would be sport and fitness advertisement due to the advert advertising Nike. However as this advert I'd an extended advert it is less likely for it to be shown on the TV.

Audience
The target audience for this Nike advert is women: young women, teenagers aged 13- 25 due to the voices and actresses who were shown in the advert. This would appeal mainly to sport players from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. However as Nike is a global brand this advert would appeal to males also as they are referring to how males treated female sport players.

Platform
Besides this being an advert, the extended version makes it less likely for the whole advert to be shown on TV (only edited cuts would be shown on TV). However, you could watch this on YouTube by accessing it through your phone, tablet, laptop or computer. With a younger target audience this would mainly be assessed through a phone or a tablet.
